Levulan / Blue Light
Blue Light with Levulan is a photodynamic therapy (PDT) involving the application of Levulan (aminolevulinic acid) and BLU-U, a specialized blue light treatment to treat and eliminate acne. Some acne will improve after a single treatment but several treatments are usually necessary to clear-up moderate to severe acne.
A Thermage unit, coming soon to the clinic, is a computer controlled radio-frequency device that can tighten the skin without injuring the epidermis, or the outer layer of the skin. Therefore, no visible marks are created and there are no incisions on the skin surface.
